Heat dissipation of district heating pipelines
The methodology for simulating heat transport around underground power cables can also be applied to district heating pipelines. Through heat transport simulations, it is possible to estimate thermal losses throughout the year, taking into account temperature fluctuations of the heat carrier and the ground surface, and quantify the effectiveness of pipe insulation.
