Coupled simulations of geothermal models and building energy models
When considering larger and more complex geothermal heating systems, the thermal interaction between the geothermal installation and the above-ground system components such as heat pumps, heat exchangers, heating systems, or, in the case of heat storage, solar collectors, is of central importance. To model this interaction, a coupled simulation of the individual components is required.
Thermulation is capable of coupling numerical simulations of geothermal systems with existing models of above-ground system components in tools such as TRNSYS, modelica-based simulation environments like SimulationX or Dymola, and Matlab-Simulink. This holistic approach allows for a detailed description of the system processes and can also be utilized for system optimization. Upon request, we can also explore the possibility of coupling our numerical models with your simulation environment.
